Our Story

How We Look at a Concrete Job

We pour concrete for homeowners, driveways, patios, walkways, slabs, and repair what's already there when it starts cracking or sinking. A lot of us came up doing the physical side of this work first, setting forms and running a trowel, before taking on jobs under our own name.

If you're on this page, there's a decent chance you've got a slab that's cracked, sunk, or just never looked right since it was poured. Most of that traces back to what happened before the concrete went in, a base that wasn't compacted, joints cut too late or spaced too far apart, mesh used where rebar should've been. We fix what's there when it can be fixed, and when a slab is too far gone we say so instead of resurfacing something that's going to crack again in a year.

Why Choose Us

What you get when you hire us

None of this is complicated. It is mostly just doing what we said we would do.

Licensed and Insured

You're covered if something goes wrong on site, and we can send proof of insurance before work starts. That's not something to take on faith with concrete work, there's heavy equipment and wet material involved.

Written Quotes

The quote spells out square footage, finish and thickness, so there's no guessing later about what was included. If you want 4000 PSI instead of 3000, that's a line item, not a surprise.

On-Site Crew

The same crew that forms it up is the crew that finishes it, so nothing gets lost between one company and another. That matters on a pour, timing between steps is tight.

Local Knowledge

Soil here expands and contracts more than most homeowners expect, and it's a big reason driveways crack and patios settle unevenly. We base compaction and joint spacing on what that soil actually does, not a generic spec sheet.

Clean Job Sites

Demo debris, form lumber and wire mesh scraps leave the site when we do, not three weeks later. You shouldn't be the one bagging up gravel after a crew finishes a driveway.

Clear Scheduling

Concrete takes time to cure, and walking on it too soon is different from driving on it too soon. We give you both dates in writing so nobody guesses and cracks a fresh slab.

Common Questions

Things people ask us

Questions about who we are and how we work.

How long have you been doing concrete work?
Experience in concrete work comes from years of hands-on forming, finishing and repair before taking on jobs independently, covering everything from small patch repairs to full driveway replacements.
Do you use your own crew or subcontractors?
Concrete jobs are handled by a dedicated crew rather than passed off to subcontractors, so the people forming the concrete are the same people finishing it.
Can I see examples of past concrete work?
Photos of completed driveways, patios and repair jobs can be shared on request, and for larger projects a visit to a nearby finished job is sometimes possible with the homeowner's permission.
Why hire a smaller concrete contractor instead of a big company?
A smaller concrete outfit means direct contact with the people actually doing the work instead of a layer of office staff and project managers in between. Scheduling also tends to be more flexible, since there's less overhead to coordinate around.
Where are you based?
Concrete work is based out of Inglewood, CA, with jobs taken on throughout the surrounding South Bay and Los Angeles area.
How far in advance do I need to book?
Lead time for concrete work depends on the season and job size, with small repairs sometimes scheduled within a week or two and larger pours needing more advance notice, especially during drier months when crews stay busiest.
Do you clean up the site after the job's done?
Old broken concrete, excavation spoils, form lumber and leftover wire mesh are hauled away as part of the job, not left for the homeowner to deal with afterward.
What happens if something gets damaged on my property during the work?
Liability insurance covers accidental damage to property that happens during concrete work, such as a sprinkler line cut during excavation. Any damage is reported and addressed directly rather than left for the homeowner to discover later.
Will you finish a concrete job another contractor started or left unfinished?
Picking up a partially finished concrete job is possible, but it starts with an honest look at what's already been done, since poorly prepped base or incorrectly placed forms sometimes need to be redone before continuing.
How can I tell if concrete work is being done correctly?
Proper concrete work shows in details like consistent joint spacing, a level and square form before the pour, correct slope for drainage, and a finish that isn't rushed. Asking about base compaction and reinforcement type before the pour, and checking that joints are cut within the first day, are good ways to judge the work in progress.
